Demonstrations, barricades in 'Tel Aviv' to demand captives exchange
Israeli media says protestors are demanding a ceasefire in Gaza as they ask for the captured settlers to be returned amidst further government inaction on the issue.
Israeli demonstrators blocked the road from "Eilon" to the south of "Tel Aviv" as they demanded the Israeli regime "stop the bloodshed" in Gaza, Israeli media reported.
Several families of Israeli prisoners held by the resistance in Gaza demonstrated and chanted near the Ministry of Security in "Tel Aviv", calling on the occupation regime to take action to retrieve their family members from Gaza.
"Israel" is grappling with significant casualties among its soldiers in Gaza, and the existing deep-seated divisions within the entity are widening further, as anti-government rallies sweep the entity.
An anti-government protest is taking place in "Tel Aviv", demanding new elections and calling for the return of Israelis held captive by the Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip.
The first speaker, Shirel Hogeg, accused Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of "playing politics with medicine for the hostages," referring to allegations that he concealed details of a Qatar-brokered deal to deliver medications to Israeli captives in Gaza from Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant.
An incident at the center of the protest, involving a counter-protester who fell and shouted accusations at the crowd, briefly disrupted the proceedings.
Yifat Calderon, the cousin of Israeli captive Ofer Calderon, also spoke to the crowd, calling on the government to “stop the fighting, to pay the price” for the captives.
Concurrently, hundreds have assembled outside the Israeli President's residence in occupied al-Quds for a demonstration arranged by the "Safeguarding Our Shared Homegroup," advocating for fresh elections. The group, known for organizing weekly protests against the judicial overhaul last year, has been demanding new elections for several weeks now.
The government is growing impatient with the protestors, accusing them of harming public sentiment as they violently disseminated an anti-war rally held by Israeli settlers.
'Israel's' defeat is a known fact
This comes as growing anti-genocide sentiments have been circulating among settlers, mainly due to the failure of the occupation to return Israeli captives, protect them against IOF attacks, and defeat the Palestinian Resistance.
Earlier today, former Israeli Reserve General Itzhak Brik said "Israel" will not be able to achieve its main war objectives of ending Hamas and its political and military capabilities or retrieving the captives, and this failure would impose on the occupation entity paying a very heavy price.
In a Haaretz op-ed, Brik explained that the upcoming phase of the war on Gaza will be extremely difficult for "Israel", as it will face several barriers that it has no solutions for so far.
He stressed that the ultimate goal is still achievable, which is to bring back all Israeli captives through an agreement with the Resistance Hamas, even if it comes at the expense of a ceasefire in Gaza so that "Israel" does not leave empty-handed, having failed to achieve all the objectives it set.
Haaretz said in a report on Tuesday that the price of a prisoner exchange deal with the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza without achieving the war objectives is a recognition of failure on behalf of the government and army. According to the newspaper, this will deepen the internal disputes among Israeli officials.
