Exclusive: Latest aggression reflects "Israel's" rage over Syria’s victory
PFLP Secretary-General, Talal Naji, tells Al Mayadeen that a delegation from the Fatah Movement will visit Damascus and Beirut.
The Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) - General Command, Talal Naji, said that Hamas leaders have acknowledged Syria’s central role in assisting the Resistance, most notably in providing training and supplies.
In an exclusive interview for Al Mayadeen, Naji stressed that Syria supplied Hamas and the Islamic Jihad Movement with anti-tank Kornet missiles.
“To bridge the gap with Damascus, Hamas must admit mistakes it made against Syria," he added.
Commenting on the reconstruction of Palestinian refugee camps in Syria, Naji stressed that President Al-Assad took a courageous decision to rebuild the Yarmouk camp and preserve its identity.
“Al-Assad’s decision was made to confront conspiracies which aim to liquidate the Palestinian Right of Return," he said.
On the Gantz-Abbas meeting, Naji said he was "frustrated” mainly after the Palestinian President's speech in Algeria.

Naji continued, "The Israeli occupation launched a marketing campaign for the Abbas-Gantz meeting in order to frustrate the Palestinians," stressing that such "meetings with the occupation increase Palestinian division and widen the gap between Palestinian factions."
On the latest Israeli aggression on Latakia port, he said that the airstrike "expresses Israeli resentment of Syria’s victory over terrorism," noting that “the attack on Latakia was aimed at a commercial container."
The top Palestinian figure told Al Mayadeen that "Biden’s promise to press for a two-state solution thwarted an agreement between Palestinian factions", stressing that "the normalizers with the occupation will exploit Abbas' meeting with Gantz to validate ties with Israel."
Naji also revealed to Al Mayadeen that “a delegation from Fatah movement, led by Jibril Rajoub, will visit Damascus and Beirut and meet with Palestinian factions in order to restore unity and mend the division."
"There is a genuine uprising in the face of Israeli settlers in occupied Palestine, and it must be supported by all means," he concluded.
