In a statement issued by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah, the movement condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanese territory, denouncing the escalating incursions and repeated violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty and the dignity of its people, carried out "in blatant disregard for international law, agreements, and understandings."
The statement comes in response to the dawn incursion by occupation forces into the border town of Blida, where they stormed the municipal building and cold-bloodedly executed municipal employee Ibrahim Salameh, who was inside. Hezbollah described the killing as a heinous crime that underscores the enemy’s brutality and bloodlust, committed without justification or restraint.
Hezbollah strongly condemned this latest Israeli atrocity, noting that it took place immediately after the visit of the US envoy to Lebanon and her leadership of the Mechanism Committee's meetings. The movement asserted that the timing was far from coincidental, reaffirming that Zionist aggression is being carried out with full American support and complicity.
"Washington bears full responsibility for granting the green light to every Israeli escalation, as part of a broader pressure campaign aimed at imposing malicious agendas on Lebanon, agendas that undermine its sovereignty, weaken its national interests, and erode its sources of strength."
In light of the continued assaults, Hezbollah called on the Lebanese state and all political forces to adopt a unified, responsible, and firm national position to confront these repeated violations. The movement commended the stance of the President of the Republic, who instructed the Lebanese Army to respond to Israeli incursions, and called for the army to be provided with the necessary support and political cover to strengthen its defensive capabilities.
Hezbollah calls on government to take action, responsibility
Hezbollah also urged the Lebanese government to change course from its approach over the past 11 months and take up its full national responsibility by adopting a comprehensive political and diplomatic plan aimed at halting the aggression, protecting Lebanese citizens, and safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.
Furthermore, Hezbollah called on the international community, the UN Security Council, and UNIFIL to shoulder their responsibilities and adopt firm and deterrent measures to bring an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression.
In conclusion, Hezbollah offered its deepest condolences to the family of martyr Ibrahim Salameh, the municipality of Blida, and its residents.
The statement comes not only after the Blida incursion, but also Israeli warplanes and drones launched a new wave of air raids targeting areas across southern Lebanon. Our correspondent confirmed that more than 10 missiles struck the mountainous region between al-Jarmaq and Aishiya, while additional raids were reported in al-Mahmoudiya.

These aggressive operations follow a pattern of increased overflights, drone surveillance, and artillery fire across the border, raising concerns of broader military escalation.
