Hunger-striking prisoners Adnan, Amarneh health deteriorates
Prisoner Khader Adnan continues his hunger strike for the 85th day in a row, while visually impaired prisoner Izz Al-Din Amarneh continues his hunger strike for the eighth day.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club on Sunday said a new court session was held in the "Ofer" military court for prisoner Sheikh Khader Adnan, who is on hunger strike for the 85th consecutive day in protest of his continued arbitrary detention.
The Prisoners Club confirmed that the session comes in response to the continuous attempts to demand the release of prisoner Adnan after he reached a very critical health condition.
The Israeli occupation currently holds the Palestinian prisoner in the "Ramla" prison clinic and refuses to allow the prisoner's family to visit him.
On Saturday, Muhjat Al-Quds Foundation confirmed that the Israeli "Ofer" prison court postponed, until next Sunday, an appeal case submitted against its refusal to release Sheikh Adnan on bail.

Earlier, Tamer Al-Za'anin, the media spokesperson for Muhjat Al-Quds, warned that Adnan is facing a serious deterioration in his health and is currently refusing to drink water.
The spokesperson said the Israeli occupation refused to inform Adnan's family of the nature of his health condition after he was urgently admitted to the hospital.
Adnan is a spirited revolutionary who has long struggled against the occupation as a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. He was arrested 12 times and spent a total of about eight years in occupation detention centers, most of which he spent under administrative detention. During these years, he went through five previous hunger strikes.

Prisoner Amarneh continues his hunger strike for the eighth day
The visually impaired prisoner, Izz al-Din Amarneh, from the town of Ya'bad, southwest of Jenin, continues his hunger strike in Israeli occupation prisons for the eighth day in a row.
Last Sunday, Amarneh announced that he had begun a hunger strike, rejecting his administrative detention.
Amarneh is a former prisoner who had previously spent nearly nine years in arbitrary administrative detention.
In February 2022, the Israeli occupation arrested Amarneh, and he has been held in arbitrary administrative detention ever since.
WAFA news agency cited Amarneh’s wife as saying that her husband is already facing health problems, including ulcers in the stomach and intestines, blood pressure, and a tumor in the leg.
Amarneh’s wife told WAFA that her two sons, Ahmad and Mujahid, are languishing with their father in Al-Naqab prison, where Ahmad was transferred to administrative detention, while Mujahid was sentenced to 24 months in prison.
Health of prisoner Khaled Al-Nawabit deteriorating
In the same context, the Prisoners Information Office reported on Sunday that the health condition of Palestinian prisoner Khaled Al-Nawabit, 44, is deteriorating, as the prisoner is suffering from severe heart problems and is subjected to the crime of medical negligence in Israeli occupation prisons.
The office warned that there is a danger to Al-Nawabit's life, as he was scheduled to undergo open-heart surgery before his arrest in November 2022.
