IOF fear potential Resistance retaliation over Areeha massacre
An Israeli military affairs commentator says Hamas will respond to the Areeha massacre as soon as possible, with a possible retaliatory attack in the West Bank or a shooting from Gaza.
Israeli media reported on fear rising within the IOF military over the potential response by the Palestinian Resistance to the Areeha massacre, which led to the martyrdom of several Palestinians following confrontations.
According to the military affairs commentator for the Israeli Channel 12, Nir Dvori, Hamas will respond to the Areeha aggression as soon as possible, with a possible retaliatory attack in the West Bank or a shooting from Gaza.
As for the Palestinian affairs commentator for the aforementioned channel, Ohad Hemo, the most worrying aspect is the establishment of an infrastructure for Hamas "under Israel's nose," pointing out that this occurred in what is considered the calmest city in the West Bank.
He added that as of now, no information exists about the activation of this infrastructure by Hamas from outside or from within Gaza.
Simultaneously, Israeli Channel 12 correspondent Amir Steimann stated that Hamas has already threatened to retaliate, forcing a state of high alert on all illegal settlements.
Earlier today, according to Israeli media, seven Palestinians were martyred as a result of heavy gunfire in Aqabat Jaber camp near Areeha, adding that the IOF is withholding the bodies of the martyrs. The crime was corroborated by Al Mayadeen correspondent in the occupied West Bank who stated that the people of Aqabat Jaber could not find the bodies of their martyrs.
Moreover, Israeli media mentioned that the IOF arrested 19 Palestinians last night in the West Bank.
The Aqabat Jaber refugee camp Brigade said in a statement on Telegram: "Let's make it all days of hell on the IOF," as it called on the residents of neighboring villages to join and head to the contact points to make that happen.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Resistance movement (PIJ) has promised that it will not back down from its struggle against Israeli occupation forces.
This comes after the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp Brigade of Al-Qassam brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Resistance movement, marked the start of three days of wrath against the Israeli occupation's tight blockade and raids.
