IRGC chief: 'Israel' digging its own grave with every attack on Gaza
Major General Hossein Salami voices how hatred toward the US is spreading around the world, leaving American officials afraid to visit any Islamic country, as Washington repeats its own mistakes.
The chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, stated, during a ceremony in Tehran to bid farewell to newly discovered martyrs of the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988), that the more aggression "Israel" inflicts on Palestine, the more nails they drive into their own coffin.
"In the war in Palestine, the more Israeli forces destroy, the more nails they drive into their coffin," Salami said, as he called out "Israel" and told its forces to fight like real warriors, instead of targeting and turning hospitals into battlefields.
"As Imam Khomeini said, a nation blessed with martyrdom will never face enslavement," he noted, adding that Iran will support Palestine until the day it sees freedom from occupation.
Salami also explained how hatred toward the US is spreading around the world, leaving American officials afraid to visit any Islamic country. "Wherever you go, you’d face hatred and insecurity from the nations," he said.

"The US is repeating its mistakes during the past 45 years and thinks it will reach victory through the occupation of lands," Salami said, referring to the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
Rather than tackling their country’s domestic problems such as poverty, the US has spent taxpayers’ dollars on a failed war in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan, he continued.
US attempts are bound to fail
Speaking about the Iran-Iraq war, Salami argued that the enemies intended to make Iran regret its revolution and prove that it cannot stand as a government without relying on Western powers.
"They tried to make this land the focus of all the fires accumulated in their warehouses and planned to steal our identity and rule our destiny, but with the sacrifice of our nation and with the guardianship of Imam Khomeini, all their plots were thwarted," he expressed, as he called out Western nations impeding the ceasefire process.
This comes after the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations Saeed Iravani said on December 13 that the United States is openly resisting a ceasefire, effectively endorsing war, violence, and, ultimately, more casualties among children and women in Gaza.

In a phone call with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian assured that the war on Gaza has extended into West Asia, cautioning that the region is on the brink of erupting unless immediate action is taken to halt Israeli assaults on Palestinian territories.
"The scope of the war in the region has expanded, and if the attacks on Gaza are not stopped immediately, there is the possibility that the region explodes at any time, with all parties losing control", Amir-Abdollahian told his counterpart, Yi.
