Israeli occupation forces advanced into towns in Syria's Quneitra countryside and the Daraa governorate, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
The overnight advance coincided with intense aerial aggression that targeted areas in Daraa, al-Suweida, Quneitra, and Damascus' countryside.
Israeli drones were also spotted over the Quneitra province, our correspondent added.
Sources told Al Mayadeen that Israeli warplanes bombed the al-Kiswah area and flew over Damascus after. Our correspondent also reported that at least six loud explosions were heard in the Suweida countryside.
Meanwhile, Israeli media outlets reported that Israeli aircraft destroyed military infrastructure and weapons caches used by the former Syrian regime. A Syrian Arab Army camp was also bombed in the eastern Daraa countryside in southern Syria.
In the same context, Israeli Security Minister Israel Katz said that the Israeli Air Force is striking hard in southern Syria, adding that the Israeli government "will not allow southern Syria to turn into southern Lebanon."
It is worth noting that with the fall of the Bashar al-Assad-led Syrian regime, Israeli occupation forces launched an unprecedented aggression on the country, destroying the vast majority of its strategic defenses, including cruise missile systems, ballistic missile systems, air defense systems, the Syrian naval fleet, aircraft, and research and development centers.
The aggression coincided with an Israeli ground invasion of the remainder of the Syrian Golan, the strategic Mount Hermon, and other provinces in southern Syria.
Early on Wednesday, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the Israeli advance in northern Quneitra and Daraa is the deepest since the new Syrian regime took power. Our correspondent added that the advance into Daraa aims to take full control of southern Syria.
