Israeli occupation admits 44 IOF troops injured on Sunday, Monday
Israeli occupation soldiers faced heavy confrontations with the Resistance and sustained numerous casualties during intense battles in Gaza, with over 4,000 injuries reported since October.
The Israeli occupation forces acknowledged that 44 IOF members were injured between Sunday and Monday, including 14 soldiers in the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, the IOF admitted that 4,021 military personnel have been injured since the beginning of the war on October 7, with 2,032 of those injuries occurring since the Israeli occupation's ground incursion into Gaza.
This comes at a time when the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza is executing well-planned ambushes against the raiding Israeli occupation forces and their vehicles as they advance into the sector. The ambushes have been inflicting significant losses among the IOF during battles concentrated in al-Shujaiya and Rafah.
Gaza Resistance carry out concentrated operations in Rafah
The Palestinian Resistance forces continue to resist Israeli occupation forces advancing into the Saudi neighborhood and the Shabura refugee camp in Rafah, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Monday.
The al-Qassam Brigades announced that their fighters had successfully destroyed a Merkava 4 tank using two improvised explosive devices on the southern side of al-Tayaran Street in the Tell al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah.
Earlier on Monday, al-Qassam Brigades reported that they lured an Israeli force into a booby-trapped house that had been used in a recent sniper operation east of Rafah. Once the soldiers entered the house, it was detonated, resulting in casualties among the Israeli troops.
Israeli media confirmed the collapse of the booby-trapped building in Rafah with the Israeli soldiers still inside, acknowledging that several soldiers were injured, some critically. The injured soldiers were airlifted to Soroka Hospital in Beer al-Sabe'.
Meanwhile, al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement (PIJ) announced that they targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with an RPG and engaged in clashes with soldiers near the western cemetery in southwest Rafah.
The brigades also confirmed that they bombarded an Israeli command post in the Amitai military base with 107-caliber rockets. They released footage showing the detonation of several explosive devices on Israeli military vehicles in southwest Rafah and the shelling of advancing support forces with a barrage of mortar shells.
