Israeli fighter jets carried out air raids on Homs' countryside, Syria, from Lebanon's northern airspace late Monday, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
Syria’s official news agency, SANA, confirmed that an Israeli strike also hit the vicinity of Homs city. No immediate details were released regarding the nature of the targets or the extent of material damage and casualties.
The attack comes amid heightened regional tensions and repeated Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty. The Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned the most recent Israeli strikes, which it said targeted regions in Homs and Latakia.
“The Israeli attacks represent a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty and a direct threat to its regional security and stability,” the ministry said.
Damascus called on the international community to take a “clear and firm” position to put an end to repeated Israeli attacks.

Damascus–Tel Aviv meeting on the horizon
The strikes coincided with reports that a meeting is expected this week between Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani and Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (Kan).
The talks, mediated by Washington, are aimed at advancing discussions over a possible security arrangement between the two governments. Previous rounds, held in Paris under US envoy Tom Barrack’s facilitation, reportedly focused on stabilizing southern Syria, reactivating disengagement agreements, and preventing further escalation along the occupied Golan Heights.
A contested path toward “security agreements”
While Israeli and US officials promote the dialogue as a path toward regional stability, voices in Syria caution that such meetings risk serving as concessions to the Israeli occupation rather than genuine negotiations. The timing of the Homs strike has only deepened suspicions in Damascus that "Israel" is wielding military force as a bargaining tool.
Monday’s raids join a growing pattern of Israeli airstrikes across Syrian territory in recent months. As the anticipated al-Shibani–Dermer meeting approaches, the parallel escalation highlights the fragile and contested nature of the proposed “security agreements.”
