Lebanese Islamic Shiite Council warns of divisive Israeli tactics
The Shariah and Executive bodies of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council in Lebanon have reiterated that the immediate priority is to put an end to the aggression on Lebanon.
The Shariah and Executive bodies of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council in Lebanon issued a statement addressing the ongoing war, emphasizing that the displacement of Lebanese citizens is temporary. They called for unity and urged the state to fulfill its responsibilities toward the displaced population.
The statement also highlighted the critical role of Speaker Nabih Berri in ongoing efforts to halt the aggression against Lebanon, stressing the importance of his communications to achieve this goal.
It is worth noting that Hezbollah has tasked Speaker Nabih Berri with conducting the negotiations.
Regarding Speaker Nabih Berri's position, political sources told Al Mayadeen last Monday, that the latter conveyed his reaffirmation that Lebanon supports Resolution 1701 without any modifications.
The council reiterated that the immediate priority is to put an end to the aggression targeting Lebanon, calling for swift action to protect the country and its citizens.
They urged religious authorities worldwide to raise their voices in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese people.
This came shortly after "Israel" published an evacuation order that spanned the entire city of Baalbek, forcing people to evacuate their houses quickly, as the IOF usually proceeds to strike areas under its evacuation order in less than an hour.
The Minister for Social Affairs in the Lebanese caretaker government, Hector Hajjar, told Sputnik earlier this month that the humanitarian situation in Lebanon is close to "catastrophic" as a result of the mass forced displacement of civilians from villages and towns subjected to Israeli aggression in the South.
Last month, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati warned that intense Israeli bombardment may have caused up to a million people to flee parts of Lebanon, perhaps creating the biggest displacement crisis in the country's history.
Loyalty to Resistance Bloc MPs tour centers for displaced in Beirut
Members of the Loyalty to the Lebanese Resistance parliamentary bloc conducted a visit last Wednesday to displacement centers in the capital, Beirut, as part of their ongoing support for those affected by the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
During the visit, MP Ali Mekdad from the bloc emphasized that medical supplies were being provided to the centers, ensuring adequate support for the displaced. "Medicines are being supplied to the shelters, health centers, and dispensaries, with large quantities available," Mekdad said.
MP Hussein Hajj Hassan also spoke to the media during the visit, reaffirming Hezbollah's firm stance on the battlefield. "The Resistance remains steadfast in the field, having rebuilt its capabilities and is actively repelling the Israeli enemy," Hajj Hassan stated.
He further highlighted that the Resistance was conducting daily operations, launching dozens of attacks on Israeli military bases and settlements. "The priority of the Resistance today is to repel Israeli aggression on Lebanon," he added.
Hajj Hassan condemned the systematic destruction and massacres carried out by the Israeli occupation forces, emphasizing that the ongoing aggression was targeting Lebanon and its people. He also expressed gratitude to donors and organizations working to support the displaced.
It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation's aggression on Lebanon has claimed the lives of thousands, with thousands of others wounded as the onslaught protracts and expands to include more areas.
