Hezbollah's Military Media published a video message by the survivors of the Pager Attack to Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, in response to his speech commemorating the first anniversary of the attack.
"A year has passed since the wound that treacherously struck our resistance in the bodies of its sons and daughters at the hands of the murderers of God's prophets," the letter opens.
It goes on to state, addressing Sheikh Qassem directly, "Ever since, the world has been hearing the echo of your thundering voice, strengthening our resolve and summoning what gives us life."
"But now it is time for the world to hear our voice and our words, etched with our blood," the survivors say, adding, "as for our wounds, we have held them tight [to carry on] and set vengeance before our wounded eyes."
"We reaffirm to you, our Sheikh, the pledge we made to our martyred leader [Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah] that we are committed to fulfilling the hopes of our generous people, whom we send our greetings and salutations to."
"We reaffirm to you, our Sheikh, that we remain true to the promise we made to our martyred leader [Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah] and continue to live up to the hopes of our generous people, to whom we send our greetings and salutations," they pledge.
"We are ready for sacrifice and longing for martyrdom, and we are determined to achieve victory, whatever the cost may be. Guided by our allegiance to the Guardianship (Wilayah) and the blood spilled, forever confident in God's promise and that we shall be victorious," they announce.
The video letter concludes with the survivors of the pager
attack stating, "We have accepted a partnership of blood and a covenant of freedom-fighting, for whoever is bound to God can never be defeated."
