On the first anniversary of the martyrdom of the two leaders, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine issued a statement on Sunday, affirming its deep respect for Hezbollah's consistent and principled history of resistance.
In its statement, the PIJ praised the pivotal role Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah played in confronting the Israeli Occupation in defense of Palestine and its people.
The statement further noted that "the Palestinian people and all free people across the Arab and Islamic world take great pride in the fact that the two martyred leaders advanced on the path toward al-Quds, engaging in a legitimate supporting battle for the Palestinian people against the war of annihilation and massacres they are facing at the hands of the criminal army of the Zionist entity."
Furthermore, the movement expressed its support for Hezbollah, under the leadership of its Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassim, recognizing their resilience following the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, their rapid recuperation, and their effective work to counter all efforts by "Israel" and the United States to diminish the strength of the Resistance.
Finally, the movement concluded its statement with a prayer for the protection and stability of Lebanon and its resilient people, expressing confidence in their ability to overcome the current delicate phase.
Earlier, Hamas published a statement commemorating the role of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in supporting the Palestinian cause and resisting "Israel", praising him for his heroic and honorable stances.
It further stressed that "Israel's" extensive history of carrying out assassinations has consistently failed to crush the will or dampen the spirit of the Resistance. “Rather, they have made it stronger, more formidable, and more determined to adhere to its principles until its aspirations for the liberation of land and holy sites are achieved,” Hamas declared.
