Palestinian resistance launch deadly ambushes against Israeli forces

Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza carry out coordinated attacks on Israeli forces, killing and wounding dozens, amid close-quarter battles and drone captures in Shujaiyya and Khan Younis.

The military wings of several Palestinian resistance factions carried out a series of complex and coordinated operations this week against Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, inflicting casualties and targeting armored vehicles, according to statements and video releases by the groups.
The al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, released footage on Friday showcasing what it called a "qualitative, multi-layered operation" executed east of Gaza City’s Shujaiyya neighborhood on Wednesday. The operation reportedly targeted Israeli occupation troops and armored vehicles, including those sheltering inside residential homes, during intense close-quarter combat.
Israeli forces hit with deadly ambush
According to the operation commander from al-Quds Brigades, the ambush was meticulously pre-planned and carried out with precision in the al-Huda zone, where advancing Israeli forces were surrounded.

He added that Israeli troops failed to respond effectively, describing the scene as one of “chaos and panic.” “They screamed and fled without firing a single effective shot at our fighters,” he claimed, noting that Palestinian fighters observed the charred remains of Israeli soldiers and officers.
The commander further estimated that approximately 40 Israeli troops and officers were either killed or wounded, asserting that the Israeli occupation routinely conceals the scale of its battlefield losses.
“This complex operation is a direct response to the occupation’s ongoing crimes,” he added, “and a reaffirmation that the enemy will taste the same suffering it inflicts on our people.”
On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces admitted that one soldier from the elite Egoz unit was killed in Gaza, with eight others wounded, including a tank commander who sustained serious injuries.
Additional operations across Gaza Strip
Separately, the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Thursday that it targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with a Yassin-105 anti-armor shell east of the al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City. The group also reported shelling a command and control site belonging to the Israeli occupation forces in the same area using three mortar rounds.
Meanwhile, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades published footage of a barrel bomb detonation that destroyed an Israeli D9 military bulldozer during a ground incursion in the vicinity of al-Qarara, east of Khan Younis.

Additionally, the Martyr’s Brigades confirmed that its fighters shelled a gathering of Israeli troops and vehicles with heavy mortar fire near Street 5 in northern Khan Younis. The group also claimed it successfully seized an Israeli EVO MAX reconnaissance drone model that was conducting a scout mission over the area.
Series of successful operations
Palestinian Resistance factions in Gaza have announced multiple successful operations targeting Israeli vehicles in the Strip, confirming casualties among the Israeli Occupation Forces.
Additionally, al-Quds Brigades reported that it targeted an Israeli occupation army command and control headquarters near the Khadra Mosque, north of Khan Younis, with a 107-type rocket, achieving a direct hit.
In a joint operation with the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades (the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine), al-Quds Brigades also shelled Israeli occupation forces stationed on Al-Badaw Street in the Western Satar area, north of Khan Younis, with a barrage of mortar shells.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that they targeted an Israeli troop carrier with a "Yassin 105" shell on Al-Mujamma Al-Islami Street in the city of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Resistance faction also stated that during the attack, they saw the military vehicle catch fire and a helicopter land to evacuate casualties, noting that the incident occurred around noon on Wednesday.
