Qatari PM meets with Jared Kushner in NY over Hamas ties: Axios
Three sources with intimate knowledge of the meeting told Axios the discussions revolved around Qatar's relationship with the Hamas Resistance movement.
According to Axios, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani attended a conference of business executives hosted by former White House staffers Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner.
Three sources with knowledge of the affair told Axios that the meeting was held in a members-only restaurant in Manhattan and the discussions centered on Doha's attempts to swap captives in Gaza as well as Qatar's relationship with Hamas.
According to the report, the meeting took place amid rising pressure and scrutiny from members of the US Congress questioning Qatar's links with Hamas.
During the meeting, Al Thani emphasized that Qatar's engagement with Hamas began under former President George W. Bush in 2006, something that was later backed by both Barack Obama and Donald Trump, who allegedly tried to maintain lines open to assist in managing the situation in Gaza.
Although the US and "Israel" have praised Doha's efforts in mediating with Hamas, they are allegedly planning to pressure the country over its connection with Hamas after the battle is over, according to the article.
On Sunday, the Israeli Shin Bet chief vowed to assassinate Senior Hamas leaders in Qatar and Turkey.
On November 28, Axios revealed in a report that there is a joint Israeli-Qatari "situation room" in Mossad's headquarters in "Tel Aviv". This room has also been accessible for CIA director William, also known as Bill, Burns who has allegedly been in constant communication with the room during the prisoners-captives exchange period.
On Saturday Mossad negotiators were pulled out of Qatar after deadlock in indirect Israeli-Hamas talks for a truce, according to a statement released by the Israeli occupation's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The statement noted that "following the impasse in the negotiations and at the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, David Barnea, head of the Mossad, ordered his team in Doha to return to Israel."
Hamas holds 'Israel' fully responsible for end of truce in Gaza
Ezzat al-Resheq, a member of the Hamas political bureau, accused the Israeli occupation of being fully responsible for the non-extension of the humanitarian truce, which expired on Friday.
“Claims that Hamas violated the terms of the truce deal are intended to justify the resumption of the genocidal war against civilians in the Gaza Strip,” al-Resheq detailed.
Earlier, the Israeli occupation military claimed that Hamas broke the humanitarian pause. The latest truce expired on Friday at 07:00 am local time (05:00 GMT).
Shortly after, "Israel" renewed its aggression across Gaza, bombing the Strip indiscriminately. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that 14 people were martyred in Israeli occupation massacres after the first two hours of the end of the truce.
Al-Resheq added that the occupation is “repeating its false allegations in the hope that it can invent excuses for its renewed aggression against Gazans."
US hands Israelis time of mere weeks to achieve 'war goals': WSJ
A former deputy national security adviser in "Israel", Eran Etzion, stated that the Palestinian Resistance "has a chance of surviving the war" if the pressure keeps mounting on "Israel" to end its invasion in Gaza.
This follows a statement by US officials that the mounting international pressure could prompt "Israel" to end its invasion by early next year, especially if civilian casualties continue at high levels.
“While the U.S. believes Israel has only weeks left, it’s going to be difficult for Israel to achieve its war goals within weeks,” Etzion said, adding: “It’s a weakness that Hamas has surely identified.”
"Israel" has continued to refuse the timeline it has been given by the US, US officials claimed to WSJ.
The United States has sent multiple signals, noting that "Israel" would only have "weeks" in the Strip even though Hamas remains "far from being defeated," Etzion said.
