The leader of Yemen's Ansar Allah, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, reiterated on Thursday that the Gaza genocide is the "crime of the century," condemning the atrocities being carried out by the Israeli occupation forces and holding the Israeli entity and complicit Arab regimes responsible for the escalating aggression in the region.
In his weekly speech, Sayyed al-Houthi decried the continued massacre of civilians in Gaza, accusing "Israel" of committing genocidal acts with full support from the US, UK, and Germany. He stated that the occupation is “utilizing American, British, and German bombs” while being fueled by “Arab oil and resources.”
“The horrifying scenes of mass extermination in Gaza should awaken any human conscience,” he said, adding that the silence of the international community underscores a moral collapse.
Arab silence, complicity under fire
The Ansar Allah leader directed sharp criticism at the Islamic and Arab regimes, accusing them of failing to take any serious action to stop the genocide. He emphasized that "Israel" is not just targeting Palestinians but is threatening the entire Muslim Ummah.
“Some of those who participated in the Doha summit have no legal or moral legitimacy to represent their countries,” Sayyed al-Houthi said. “This is not just about Qatar; it is about the whole Gulf and Arab world being under threat.”
He condemned the final communique of the Arab-Islamic summit, calling it “a disgrace” for referring to "Israel's" crimes as something that undermines normalization rather than addressing the genocidal nature of its campaign.
Sabra and Shatila: Lessons of disarmament
Recalling the horrific 1982 Sabra and Shatila massacre, Sayyed al-Houthi warned against the dangers of disarming resistance movements, particularly in Lebanon and Palestine.
He pointed out that such massacres occur “once the weapon of the oppressed is taken away,” stressing that the only meaningful protection for civilians comes from organized and principled armed resistance.
“The massacre of Sabra and Shatila proved that resistance weapons are not the danger; it is the disarmament and submission to Israeli diktats that leads to genocide.”
Resistance in Lebanon, Syria, and Red Sea
Sayyed al-Houthi reaffirmed that resistance operations would continue not only in Palestine but also across the region. He condemned the ongoing American pressure on Lebanon to disarm its resistance and highlighted the increasing Israeli incursions in southern Syria.
“Syrians in the south feel completely exposed to the enemy, with no protection,” he said. Daily raids, checkpoints, and violations were described as part of "Israel's" effort to assert full control.
On maritime operations, he confirmed that the Red Sea blockade on Israeli and Israeli-linked ships would continue. “This is part of our just, legitimate response in support of the Palestinian people,” he said, declaring that 24 drone and missile strikes had been carried out this week, including attacks deep into occupied Palestine.
Red Sea blockade will continue
Sayyed al-Houthi directly addressed regional actors cooperating with "Israel" in maritime security operations, particularly Saudi Arabia and the UK. “You are not protecting international navigation. You are protecting Israeli interests. And you will fail.”
He noted that British ships had only been targeted when involved in aggression against Yemen, and rejected claims that the Red Sea operations posed a threat to regional stability.
“No Saudi or Gulf ships have been targeted,” he clarified. “Only those linked to Israel or its Western backers face consequences.”
Break ties with "Israel", empower resistance
The speech closed with a call on Arab and Muslim governments to cut diplomatic ties with "Israel", halt economic cooperation, and end the criminalization of Palestinian resistance factions.
“Supporting the resistance, financially, politically, and in the media, is not only possible, but necessary,” he stated. He lamented that many Arab regimes instead suppress solidarity protests and imprison supporters of Palestine.
He also welcomed growing boycott movements in Europe, particularly in Germany, calling for them to be expanded across the Muslim world.
Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi’s speech reiterated Ansar Allah’s firm stance in the battle against Israeli aggression, making it clear that the Gaza genocide is a defining moment for the entire region.
"Resistance will not stop, normalization with Israel is treason, and the region must choose between submission and sovereignty," he concluded.
