UN Security Council to address Israeli pager attacks on Lebanon Friday
Since Tuesday, Lebanon has been hit by a wave of terrorist attacks carried out by the Israeli regime, targeting various devices, including pagers and batteries.
The UN Security Council is set to convene on Friday to discuss the terrorist attack on Lebanon involving pagers and other devices rigged with explosives, the Slovenian mission told Sputnik.
"The presidency [currently held by the Slovenian mission] confirms the meeting at 3:00 p.m. No details on the format though," it said.
Since Tuesday, Lebanon has been hit by a wave of terrorist attacks carried out by the Israeli regime, targeting various devices, including pagers and batteries.
Western news agencies have justified the aggression on the basis that the attack is intended to target members of Hezbollah. The reality, however, is that the devices were used by workers of a wide range of professions, including teachers, health workers and industrial workers.

According to the Lebanese Health Ministry, the latest death toll of the terrorist attack has risen to 12 martyrs, while the total number of injured is estimated to be between 2,700 and 2,800, with 1,850 in Beirut and its southern suburbs, 750 in the south, and 150 in the Bekaa region.
Security sources informed Al Mayadeen earlier in the day that the pagers bypass all scanning equipment available, even in countries and airports around the world, as the explosive material is undetectable.
Moments ago, radio receivers, commonly known as walkie-talkies, spontaneously exploded Wednesday in numerous areas in Lebanon.
