The Yemeni Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) issued a notice on Thursday to ship owners, operators, fleet managers, and shipping associations, warning them of the risks associated with engaging with Israeli-linked ports.
The statement published by the HOCC cited the announcement made by the Yemeni Armed Forces, which said that the YAF will escalate its naval blockade imposed on "Israel" as of July 27, targeting any vessels affiliated with any company that deals with Israeli ports, regardless of nationality.
In the statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces called on all companies to cease their dealings with "Israel", asserting that failure to comply will result in the companies' vessels being targeted.
The HOCC stated that in light of the announcement made by the Yemeni Armed Forces, it strongly recommends that shipping companies avoid any dealings with "Israel" out of concern for the safety of the vessels and their crews.
The statement concluded by expressing hope for understanding regarding this humanitarian, moral, and religious measure, urging all parties to unite in ending the genocide, starvation, and suffocating siege imposed on Palestinian civilians in Gaza, particularly children, women, and the elderly.
It also called for immediate and unrestricted access to vital aid, including food, water, and medicine.
Yemen sustains support operations for Gaza
This comes as Yemen stands resolute in its support front for Gaza, continuously launching operations against "Israel", involving missile and drone strikes.
Just last night, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF), Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that the Yemeni forces carried out three new drone operations targeting Israeli positions in response to the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
According to Saree, the operations involved five drones and successfully completed their missions against three separate targets inside Israeli-occupied territory.
"The first operation targeted a sensitive site in the occupied city of Yafa (Tel Aviv) with two drones," Saree said in a statement.
"The second operation targeted a military site in the occupied city of Askalan using two additional drones, while the third targeted a military position in the occupied al-Naqab with a single drone."
On July 29, Saree stated that the missile force had conducted a targeted military operation against Ben Gurion Airport in occupied Yafa, emphasizing that the strike was carried out using an advanced Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile.
