The Arab National Conference (ANC) on Monday condemned the terrorist resurgence in Syria's Aleppo and Idlib, calling for broader Arab solidarity with Syria and the activation of the Arab Joint Defense Agreement.

In a statement issued after a virtual meeting of its members, the General Secretariat of the ANC described the terrorist aggression as a continuation of attacks on Gaza and Lebanon. It urged immediate Arab, Islamic, and international action to stop the aggression and to restore full sovereignty over Syrian territory.

The statement reaffirmed the ANC's unwavering stance in supporting Syria's unity, sovereignty, and independence, emphasizing the need to address the challenges Syria faces and to close existing gaps, warning of the dangers these events pose to Arab national security.

The statement noted that extremist groups' attacks on Aleppo and its outskirts followed Israeli occupation Prime Minister Netanyahu’s threats against Syria and occurred just hours after a cessation of hostilities agreement was reached in Lebanon. It argued that these attacks aim to destabilize Syria, undermine its role in the Arab nationalist movement and Resistance efforts, and cut off support to the Lebanese Resistance while encircling Iraq.

The Congress highlighted that these terrorist groups would not have been able to carry out such acts without the backing of Turkiye, "Israel", and the United States, which have been rebuilding these militant groups’ capabilities despite their classification as terrorist organizations by the United Nations. It called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by stopping the aggression and withdrawing militants from Syrian territory.

The statement also stressed the importance of continuing to support the heroic Resistance in Gaza, which has inflicted severe blows on the enemy through its operations despite the immense suffering of its people due to hunger, oppression, and siege.

Additionally, the ANC praised Lebanon’s victory over the Zionist enemy, noting its reflection in the return of displaced people to their homes in the South, the Bekaa, and Southern Suburb of Beirut, as well as in media reactions within "Israel".

The meeting, which included dozens of Arab figures from Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and the diaspora, approved a series of political, judicial, and media proposals aimed at supporting the Palestinian people's struggle in Operation Al Aqsa Flood.

400+ terrorists eliminated in Aleppo, Idlib strikes: Syrian Army

The Syrian Army emphasized Monday its units' readiness and determination to continue their operations and confront terrorist groups to expel them from the north of the country.

A statement issued by the General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces indicated that in 24 hours, operations continued in cooperation with the Russian forces, carrying out focused air, missile, and artillery strikes on terrorist positions, their warehouses, supply lines, and movement corridors in the rural areas of Aleppo and Idlib.

The statement confirmed that the precise strikes carried out by the Syrian Armed Forces, in cooperation with Russian forces, resulted in the destruction of five command centers, and seven ammunition and weapon storage sites, some of which contained drones, in 24 hours.

Additionally, more than 400 terrorists, including individuals of various foreign nationalities, were eliminated in the past hours in the rural areas of Aleppo and Idlib.

The statement also highlighted taking action on several fronts in the countrysides of Aleppo, Hama, and Idlib to encircle and expel terrorists from areas they had entered, securing them fully, and establishing new positions in preparation for the next offensive. These movements are taking place alongside the continued arrival of further military reinforcements to the conflict zones.

Furthermore, the statement stressed that reports of terrorist groups controlling areas, towns, and villages are entirely false and part of the deceptive propaganda being spread by these groups in an attempt to boost the morale of their fighters, many of whom have begun fleeing from various sites and towns due to the heavy losses they have sustained.

The General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces reaffirmed its readiness, determination, and commitment to continue executing its missions with high intensity and great momentum until every inch of Syria is regained.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Ministry of Defense denied reports circulating on terrorist-affiliated pages regarding the targeting of a military meeting or any military leaders in the northern countryside of Hama, labeling them as part of the misinformation and deceit campaigns conducted by armed terrorist organizations to boost the morale of their members.
