Iran is “fully prepared to decisively confront any threat or possible aggression," said Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, during a Sunday meeting with IRGC chief Major General Mohammad Pakpour.
He pointed to the “great victories and achievements of the Armed Forces, particularly the IRGC and the Basij,” saying they prove that the strategy of active deterrence and powerful retaliatory responses remains effective.
IRGC: Ready for swift, decisive response
General Pakpour emphasized that the IRGC stands at the forefront of implementing the Islamic Republic’s defensive doctrine, stressing readiness for a “swift, decisive, and instructive response” to any act of adventurism by the enemy.
He recalled the June aggression against Iran, when “the Zionist enemy and the United States suffered defeat” during a 12-day war that lasted from June 13 to 25.
In that war, Iran’s Armed Forces launched extensive retaliatory strikes using hundreds of ballistic missiles, including hypersonic variants, and drones. The reprisal targeted strategic Israeli military, nuclear, and industrial sites, as well as al-Udeid, the US’ most important regional airbase in Qatar.
Pakpour noted that the IRGC’s mission extends beyond defending borders, describing it as safeguarding the “strategic ideals of the Islamic Revolution.”
Army chief: Enemies will face severe response
On his part, Iranian Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami also reiterated that the Armed Forces carry the vital responsibility of defending Iran’s independence and territorial integrity.
Hatami described Iran’s state of readiness as “permanent and invaluable,” stressing, “We continuously monitor the enemy, and any mistake on their part will be met with a severe response.”
He further warned that adversaries are attempting to sow doubt among Iranians, particularly the youth. Addressing Army cadets at a ceremony, he reassured, “Our message to the nation is clear: we, your sons in the Army, are the guarantors of your security, health, and assets. Pay no attention to the enemy’s empty rhetoric and continue the march toward the country’s progress.”
Iranian Armed Forces: US has no right to demand limit on missiles range
The spokesperson for the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, affirmed on Sunday that there is no concern of fear surrounding the military sphere, stressing that the production line of any advanced weapon did not stop during the war on the country and that production is still ongoing.
“We are moving forward in developing advanced weapons in the missile field, and we will not allow any power to interfere in this path," Shekarchi asserted.
He emphasized that nuclear energy is a national necessity and the fruit of the blood of thousands of martyrs, declaring that Iran will never abandon it.
The Iranian military spokesperson stated that Iran will continue on the path of resistance, noting that this path is what has led the Iranian people to victory so far, and reminding that the experience of countries like Libya has proven that disarmament and retreat in the face of arrogant powers bring nothing but destruction.
On the Iranian missiles, Shekarchi affirmed that the US has nothing to do with Iran’s missile capabilities and is, in no way, entitled to demand a limit on the Iranian missiles' range. He addressed Washington, saying, “You are acting foolishly. Who are you to dictate to us the range of our missiles?”
Shekarchi said that the United States is compelled to withdraw from the West Asia region, and that many countries in the region have come to endorse this strategic conclusion.
