IOF haunted, raid Shuafat camp to demolish Uday Al-Tamimi's home
Hundreds of IOF soldiers stormed the Shuafat refugee camp, east of occupied al-Quds, in order to demolish the house of martyr turned national hero Uday al-Tamimi.
Hundreds of soldiers from the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed the Shuafat refugee camp on Wednesday, east of occupied al-Quds, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent.
The IOF raided Shuafat with the intent to demolish the house of Uday al-Tamimi, the martyr turned national hero that carried out the Shuafat camp checkpoint operation, as well as the "Ma'ale Adumim" operation.
Palestinian media reported that over 300 soldiers stormed the Shuafat camp and the town of Anata to carry out the demolition of the martyr's family home.

The occupation forces, in October of 2022, pursued Al-Tamimi for more than ten days after the Shuafat camp operation and besieged the camp for days, only for the hero to be martyred during the execution of a second operation which also resulted in IOF casualties.
Soon after his martyrdom, a Hamas spokesperson, at the time, announced that "the martyr hero Uday Al-Tamimi will remain a Palestinian national icon who symbolizes the courage of the Palestinian in his struggle against the occupier and the valor of the fighter who is ready to sacrifice his most valuable possession. We will always be waiting for a new Uday who keeps fighting against this occupier until the goals of our people are achieved with freedom and independence."
Three months later, the IOF is calling on over 300 IOF soldiers in order to be able to storm the Shuafat refugee camp and demolish al-Tamimi's family home. This is not the first time the al-Tamimi home gets raided, in October of 2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided and besieged their house as well as several shops and houses in neighboring areas.
At that time, Israeli engineering teams also took measurements of the al-Tamimi home in preparation for its demolition.

The refugee camp remained besieged for days prior to the IOF storming, back in October. It was initially besieged after the Shuafat checkpoint operation as the occupation searched for Uday. After his martyrdom, it remained besieged out of fear of escalation. During that siege, residents of the camp were trapped, with some unable to leave for critical medical treatment and many basic supplies running low as Israeli forces enforce a blockade.
It is noteworthy that "Israel's" policy of demolishing martyr's homes is a form of collective punishment, and is a war crime under international law.
