Resistance appreciates Iran's position
Hamas confirmed that Haniyeh, heading a high-ranking delegation of Hamas officials, arrived in the Iranian capital on March 26.
During his meeting with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Haniyeh said that the Resistance appreciates the stance and support of the numerous fronts of the Axis of Resistance.
Haniyeh particularly expressed that Hamas appreciates "Iran's position on Palestine," stressing that the image of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) has been "shattered," its true nature has been exposed without embellishment and it now lives in "political isolation."
The head of the Palestinian resistance expressed that the truth about US positions has been exposed through its absolute support for the Israeli occupation and support for its many crimes which include genocide.
Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei welcomed Haniyeh, and praised the "unique resistance of the Palestinian forces" against the "crimes and brutalities of the Zionist regime carried out with the full support of the West," stressing that the Palestinians' historical patience honored Islam and made the Palestinian cause the first cause of the world.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran will not hesitate to support the cause of Palestine and the oppressed people of Gaza," Sayyed Khamenei said during the meeting.
